93:1 (Y. Ali) By the Glorious Morning Light,

93:1 (Picktall) By the morning hours


Surah Ad Duhaa

93:2 (Y. Ali) And by the Night when it is still,-

93:2 (Picktall) And by the night when it is stillest,

93:3 (Y. Ali) Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased.

93:3 (Picktall) Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee nor doth He hate thee,

93:4 (Y. Ali) And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present.

93:4 (Picktall) And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former

93:5 (Y. Ali) And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased.

93:8 (Y. Ali) And He found thee in need, and made thee independent.

93:8 (Picktall) Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)?

93:9 (Y. Ali) Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness,

93:10 (Y. Ali) Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard);
